Sometimes the best kind of community building looks a lot like a girls’ night out! On February 18, the Wheaton Junior Woman’s Club hosted a Galentine’s-themed flower social evening at Wildflower Mercantile, bringing together members and guests for a relaxed, creative night centered around connection, laughter, and a little bit of floral design.
It was really exciting to work in partnership with three women-owned local businesses — Wildflower Mercantile, Lady Bird Blooms, and Baby Doll Bakery. The evening featured a flower arranging class paired with sweet treats, beverages. Sixteen women gathered to create their own arrangements. It wasn’t just about learning something new; it was about taking time to slow down and enjoy being together.

Events like this are an important part of what makes our club special. While service and community impact are at the heart of what we do, creating space for connection, friendship, and shared experiences helps strengthen those efforts in a lasting way. It also offers a welcoming entry point for those who are curious about getting involved.
We’re especially grateful to Wildflower Mercantile, Lady Bird Blooms, and Baby Doll Bakery for helping bring this evening to life and for showcasing the incredible talent within our local community.
If you’ve ever been curious about joining the Wheaton Junior Woman’s Club, this is exactly the kind of experience you can expect — meaningful connections, supportive community, and plenty of moments that feel like a well-deserved night out. We’d love to have you join us at a future event.
